Grumpyface Studios and PikPok Team Up With Adult Swim to Announce Exclusive iOS Games!

Adult Swim Digital Launches New Exclusive iOS Games
Network Partners with PikPok and Grumpyface Studios to Create Unique Mobile Games

Adult Swim Digital announced today the launch of a new series of mobile games exclusive to the iOS platform. Part of a new initiative to further their partnerships with leading and independent game developers, Monsters Ate My Condo by PikPok is the first of five exclusive iOS games that will launch in the iTunes store in 2011, with more planned in 2012.
“Our goal is to make great games and make sure they find an audience,” said Jeff Olsen, vice-president of Adult Swim digital and games. “Working with PikPok and Grumpyface, we know we’re going to get really high-quality, original work. So we can really invest in development and promotion.”

Monsters Ate My Condo is the first game in a multi-title deal between Adult Swim and PikPok which extends into 2012. The game is a fast-paced action puzzle game that reflects the anime style reminiscent of Asian pop-culture and monster movies and is now available for download in the iTunes Store for 99 cents.
“Partnering with Adult Swim for multiple titles is a great opportunity for us both commercially and creatively”, said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “Working with their team and being able to access their extensive audience allows us to create a high quality range of diverse and interesting content.”
The next exclusive iOS game from Adult Swim will be Bring Me Sandwiches!!, developed in partnership with indie developer Grumpyface Studios. The game will be available in the iTunes store later this month.
“Teaming up with Adult Swim was a great fit for us, and allowed for a nice creative freedom you don’t always expect when working with a publisher. No idea ever felt too out-there to explore, and in fact the wackiest concepts were always the most encouraged – which is a refreshing way to work,” said Chris Graham, President and Creative Director at Grumpyface Studios.
In Bring Me Sandwiches!! the world finds itself at the mercy of a ruthless alien invader with only one weakness: his love for sandwiches! In this unique puzzle-platform hybrid players take control of timid fast food worker Jimmy Nugget, who unexpectedly encounters the hungry alien while taking out the trash. Jimmy must satisfy the invader’s immense interstellar appetite by traversing across obstacle-filled environments and making sandwiches from anything within reach, including garbage, appliances, and even pedestrians! Along the way Jimmy will be on the look-out for special menu requests that take the form of scavenger hunts, and even alien technology that can power up his sandwiches! Bring Me Sandwiches!! features over two dozen challenging stages, customizable tilt and digital button control options, and completely crazy-unique gameplay.

  1. Unless you are instructed that your game requires ports to be forwarded from an authoritative source (the game manual, the game developers, or in some cases the publisher with the caveat noted earlier), you are likely not required to do it. Abandon all hope ye that consider enthusiast forums to be an authoritative source!
